Master of Arts
If you told me 18 months ago that I would leave a profession I had thought I would always be part of, that I would go back to university to study an MA, that I’d achieve a Distinction, that my dissertation would have the highest mark in the programme’s history and would be on its way to publication…well. I wouldn’t believe you, that’s for sure.
That’s the thing. Sometimes our routes through life aren’t as straight as we think. They turn unexpected corners, there are hills, dips, bumps, and forks in the road that we have to navigate. All we can do is trust our gut and do whatever feels like the right choice for us.
I felt sad. I felt exhausted. I felt desperate. I took the difficult path and turned away from all the things that I knew.
But what a journey. In the hardest and most unfamiliar times, we get to learn the most about ourselves, in our own unique ways.
So. Here we go.
